Trip to Owosso - 5, Night Steam

Hi, In addition to chasing the steam powered excursions we opted to attend a double night photo session on Friday night, June 20th. The first photo session was limited to 50 people and the second to 20. Each session was 2 hours long with the first one beginning at 9:00 PM. We left about 12:30 AM. The sessions were run by Pete Lerro.

All I can say at this point is - Thank you Pete Lerro for an outstanding evening. I will let the photos speak for themselves.

Little River 4-6-2, the smallest standard gauge Pacific built for a US railroad, was spotted next to PM #1225 and NKP #765.

Thanks for looking.

Trip to Owosso - 4, Steam

Hi, The main purpose of the trip was to photograph big steam engines (NKP #765 and PM #1225)  pulling excursion trains as part of the Steam Railroading Institute's rail fest.  I will present a montage of 2 1/2 days of photography first showing northbound photos in station order and then southbound, without regard to the date they were taken.  We were joined for most of this part of the trip by Jim Kleeman's brother Jay, a worthy addition.
