Italy - 6, The Amalfi Coast

Hi, The morning of the wedding the father of the groom, Jim Beck, and I took a local bus about 10 miles to the town of Positano.  This town caters to tourists with a variety of eating establishments, hotels, and shops.  It is built on a steep hillside (six photos below).

There is a small beach with a variety of activities available (above and below).

Up the coast from the beach are these watch towers.

Jim and I returned to Priano via water taxi.  It was a great, fast ride. Once on land we were faced with a three hundred step climb up to the main road so we could return to our hotel.

While Jim and I were in Positano Ruthe wandered around Prianao (above and six below).

The wedding dinner consisted of an appetizer, fish course, pasta course, meat course and desert preceded by a reception with hor dourves.  We left dinner stuffed.

Here is the wedding dinner table with the church in the background,

a waiter setting up the hor dourves, and

the bride and groom feeding each other wedding cake.

Bottles of lemon liqueur were the wedding favors.  Thanks for looking.
