Hi, Friend Bill Kalkman and I headed west on Thursday, August 1 for nine days of railfanning in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio before attending Summerail in Marion, OH.
Our first day was mostly a travel day. However, we did stop at the Blue Grass RR Museum in Versailles, KY (above and below). One of the interesting locomotive in their collection was this former U.S. Army Fairbanks Morse H-12-44 (above).
On weekends an excursion train was powered by a former IC GP10 that had been rebuilt by the IC in its Paducah, KY shop.
Arriving in Jeffersonville, IN the lighting was perfect for evening photos of the engine service facility. We shot from a public road.
After dinner we returned to the road next to the shops and found this two unit set switching (above and below).
Thanks for looking.
